Available resident positions are dependent upon the current authorized number (as filed at the ACGME); the space available in the post graduate year; and funding and faculty resources available to support the training of residents (according to the special requirements of the program).
All Bayfront Medical Center residency programs shall participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for PGY-1 level Residents.
Residency training directors and their advisory committees shall review Bayfront Medical Center residency program applications to ensure equal access to the program. Eligible resident candidates will be selected and appointed according to ACGME and Bayfront Medical Center's requirements.
Foreign Medical School Graduates must have a current dated or (stamped) "Indefinite" certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). They must have passed Steps I and II of the United States Medical Licensing Examination issued by a U.S. licensing jurisdiction.
We do not sponsor any Visas.
Resident appointments are for a maximum of 12 months (July to June). Residents may enter the program at other times during a post-graduate year, but must complete all requirements according to the objectives and structure of the program. Bayfront Medical Center Residency programs have no provisions for "shared" or "part-time" positions.
